In celebration of Iván Argote’s High Line Plinth commission, Dinosaur—the striking 17-foot-tall aluminum pigeon sculpture on the Spur—and National Pigeon Appreciation Day, the High Line presents Pigeon Fest on Saturday, June 14, 2025 on the High Line Spur at 30th Street. This daylong festival celebrates and honors pigeons, birds, urban ecology, public space, and monuments.
As part of the festivities, the High Line will be hosting NYC’s first-ever Pigeon Impersonation Pageant, where contestants will strut, coo, and dazzle the judges and a live audience with their talents and real-to-life—or fantastical—takes on the humble city bird.
