Puppeteer/Writer/Other Stuff

I'm a professional puppeteer, puppet builder, and writer with over a decade of experience bringing characters to life for companies like The Jim Henson Company, Sesame Workshop, Nickelodeon, Hulu, Apple TV+, and more. Whether I'm performing on set, developing stories for the screen, or building custom puppets in the shop, my passion is creating work that sparks imaginations. In recent years, I've expanded into writing and directing for film and television, blending my background in character performance with a strong sense of story, structure, and comedy. My goal is to continue collaborating on creative projects as a performer and writer—especially in spaces where puppetry, comedy, or kids/family content intersect. If you're looking for a performer, builder, or writer who understands how to craft characters inside and out—literally—I’d love to connect.

Hello! I'm a veteran of the events space and have been lighting up underground dance parties (and the occasional formal event) in the NYC area going on three years. I'm always looking for a challenge, to meet new folks, collaborate, and to support the NYC dance scene. Some recent updates include a fun new project to do lighting design for a new Burning Man camp (Metal Mimi.) And, I've invented a portable light-up dance floor. I'm a regular collaborator with several dance party producers @party_line_nyc, @turntablesonthehudson, @sxnl.sound, @connector.nyc Cheers! Carl Weber | Hard Chill LLC | carl@hardchill.com
