She once salvaged a broken chandelier and transformed it into chest armor. Her biggest mission is to make cosplay crafting more accessible through beginner workshops and panels.

I'm a professional puppeteer, puppet builder, and writer with over a decade of experience bringing characters to life for companies like The Jim Henson Company, Sesame Workshop, Nickelodeon, Hulu, Apple TV+, and more. Whether I'm performing on set, developing stories for the screen, or building custom puppets in the shop, my passion is creating work that sparks imaginations. In recent years, I've expanded into writing and directing for film and television, blending my background in character performance with a strong sense of story, structure, and comedy. My goal is to continue collaborating on creative projects as a performer and writer—especially in spaces where puppetry, comedy, or kids/family content intersect. Rachel Harris is a creative technologist and costume maker based in New York City. A former Google engineer, she now blends her background in tech with hands-on fabrication and radical self-expression. At Costume Closet NYC, Rachel collaborates on styling, custom builds, and community-driven events, bringing a curious, systems-oriented perspective to the world of wearable art. She is the founder of Fringe Theory Design, where she explores the creative edges of fashion, performance, and identity.

An artist with a keen connection to aesthetics, Critical Mask is a designer, performer, and creative fabricator based in the New York City area and The Philippines. Originally drawn to cosplay and character performance, he developed a passion for building highly detailed masks, costumes, and wearable art. Known for his precision craftsmanship and unique character interpretations, Critical Mask blends design, fabrication, and suit acting into a singular creative practice. Whether on stage, at conventions, or behind the scenes in the workshop, he brings characters to life through both artistry and performance.

Hello! I'm a veteran of the events space and have been lighting up underground dance parties (and the occasional formal event) in the NYC area going on three years. I'm always looking for a challenge, to meet new folks, collaborate, and to support the NYC dance scene. Some recent updates include a fun new project to do lighting design for a new Burning Man camp (Metal Mimi.) And, I've invented a portable light-up dance floor. Sarah Sparkles founder of Sparkledome Studio, is a top NYC rhinestone artist, bedazzler. Sparkles is a native New Yorker with two decades of experience designing and crafting dazzling crystal rhinestone fine art, props, costumes, accessories and products for avante-garde artists, private clients, and luxury brands. Event décor & activations, set dressing, and installation art services are also available. Clients include Bergdorf Goodman, Swarovski, Pat McGrath Labs, & The National Arts Club. In 2005, Sarah Sparkles joined the Bergdorf Goodman visual department as a window dresser. For the next 15 years she honed her skills as an artisan and installation artist; fabricating custom props, and visual displays for a wide array of high fashion brands. During that time, Sparkles was commissioned to bedazzle numerous works of crystal rhinestone art. Her deep passion for the crystal craft flourished, and Sparkledome Studio was born. In the slivers of time that Sarah is not covering the world in crytal rhinestones, she can be found swimming and body boarding in the ocean, spending quality time with loved ones in the woods, dressing up for crazy costume parties, and having cultural adventures that inspire what she will bedazzle next. <3
