I design patterns for EVA foam costumes...and other stuff...
My name is Chris and I just can't stop making things. I started off as a jeweller, specializing in steampunk jewellery. In 2013 I made a pretty fun top hat out of cardboard for a jewellery display at a market, and customers were more interested in that hat than my jewellery! I decided to make a pattern so everyone could make their own amazing top hat and that's how Lost Wax was born.
The thing that keeps me going is the joy I get when I hear from people who have never crafted before and they are making costumes from my patterns that turn out better than they ever thought they could achieve. They are getting noticed at cons, winning competitions, gaining confidence, and loving crafting. I really think the world would be a better place if more people were makers :)
